I would like to Nominate Aimee (my daughter in law to be)
Aimee gave birth to Addison Kate on 26th June 2007 in Timaru hospital and at 4 hours old she was flown by helicopter to Dunedin to be assessed. Unfortunately neither Aimee and Sean could go as it was the middle of winter, plus Aimee was not able to travel and they had to organise their 3 year old Ashston. After 10 days of extensive tests it was found she had major heart problems and they were sent home awaiting the last test which revealed she had V.C.F Synddrome. Unfortunately at 5 months old they could wait no longer and it was off to Starship hospital for surgery which entailed repairing a hole, valve replaced and 3 of her major arties had tucks in them. This is the first of several lots of surgery and with the V.C..F. not sure what is ahead of them. The past 17 months have not been easy for either Aimee or Sean but you never hear any complaints and I feel that Aimee expecially deserves and needs a break as she is a very committed mother whose family come first - in fact they have not had a holiday in 5 years so please give them your vote.
