I would like to nominate my incredible Mum, Cynthia AKA Nana C.

At the age of 25 my Mum was left to provide for and raise her 7 children, and care for her husband single handedly after he suffered a serious brain injury in a work accident.
Over the next 40 years, Mum worked up to 3 jobs at once in order to feed, clothe, educate her 7 children, she also managed to pay off 2 mortgages by herself in this time, and although money was always tight she managed to make every Christmas and Birthday a special time.
All of her 7 children have grown into well educated and successful people who now all have families of there own.
In addition to her 7 children she is now a proud Nana to 18, and great Nana to 9, always finding time for each and every one of them.
Now retired she spends every spare moment helping others, she volunteers for Hospice Taranaki, volunteers her time by singing at retirement homes and helps with community events, she is always out and about helping those in need, wether it be friends, family or perfect strangers.
Mum will be 70 next year and is showing no signs of slowing down. It is incredible what she has achieved despite the challenges she has faced and is a true inspiration to us all
