Vote for Emma
I would like to nominate my daughter Emma for a break with air nz. On the 1st of may 2008 she gave birth to a little baby boy 7 weeks
early by emergency c section he weighed 5 lbs and he was downs syndrome. His name was Dylan. He was flown to christchurch for
urgent surgery and was in christchurch hospital for a few weeks with Emma staying nearby in ronald mcdonald house. Im her mum
and went for a week and stayed with her to give her support. She went to the Invercargill hospital after that and recieved alot of help
from her sister looking after her older child. Dylan won people over wherever he went and everyone was really supportive of emma
Our little darling boy was such a wriggler he was a real groover and was loved deeply by his mum and his brother Braydon and we
all loved and adored him.Emma could do with a break because on the 3rd of September 2008 Emma went in to get him up from
his cot to find that he had died. (Later found to be cot death). We let off white balloons at his funeral and the kids blew bubbles. So
our dear little man is no longer here to wriggle or get our cuddles or or to hear his nana singing him her special song over the phone.
I am so proud of Emma she is strong and brave and darling Braydon (4yrs) too. I just thought maybe she could come up to Nelson
on a flight and bring his ashes so we can put them under nanas maple tree.

Way to make the pregnant lady cry - I hope she gets her holiday
Very sorry for your loss, hope you win the $1 airfare to visit your mum.
as a grandmother, who has had a cot death in this family, I know the trauma that is left behind, so my vote is for this family.
:)
she deserves a trip, gud luck
As a bereaved mother, a mother of a special needs child and a support worker for Stillbirth and Newborn Death Support, I can just begin to comprehend the tragic loss of your and Emma's little man. To be able to put Dylan's ashes under Nana's tree isnt just a desire, its a need, and I hope you get the support you need to be able to do this. Hugs to you both
