Laughton King for Dyslexic Kids

Vote for Laughton
Laughton, an Educational Psychologist of 30 years service, has dedicated four years to tour New Zealand Schools, at his own expense, to offer infomation and seminars to teachers, parents and social workers about the misunderstood notion of Dyslexia. 'Reaching the reluctant Learner', the title of one of his books (published at his expense), is designed to help educators and parents to teach these wonderful, misunderstood children by reaching them first. Laughton (59) is himself dyslexic, bringing authentic workable inside-information to enable him to make a difference for these kids. Though well received by schools, after 20 months and much dogged determination cycling out to visit school principals from his mobile home base, he and his forebearing but equally dedicated partner, Natalie, need a brief trip home. Thank you for support. Do email us.

Met Lort for the first time in Wellington a few months ago. Was impressed by his eagerness to share his thoughts, professional experience and humananity. He's a lateral thinker, hard worker, innovator. Puts his own needs second - well deserving of a vote.

The Broglemeister.

This would be a well deserved gift for someone who is giving so much. Total commitment to a brilliant cause. NZ needs more people like Laughton.

I have worked with Laughton for about 10 years. the work he does with kids, and for my clients, has been life changing for them. The message he is taking across New Zealand on a voluntary basis at his own cost is useful to teachers, counsellors, and those working with youth and so on.

What profound and intuitive information you are making available. We are deeply grateful to you for your efforts as we feel the window through which we observe our son has has been shined. Seeing his smile because he 'feels' understood is priceless. May I say that I understand Dad much better now too!
Thank you barely says it.

Good Luck.

Laughton's insights have made an enormous difference in how we 'understand our son'. I am grateful for his courage and perserverance in working with his own challenges so his 'work' could benefit not only our family but many many families.
