This nomination is for Mae and Akerei(Lei) - Mae and Lei are Young Adult Leaders for the Elim Church in Porirua. Mae and Lei are both full time workers, who provide constant support and leadership to the Young Adults of the Porirua Community. Mae and Lei often spend all their spare time with young adults & the community, supporting our young people of the future.
They do this by - running a Young Adult group every Tuesday night - where they open their home to a huge number of young adults - they provide support to any of these young adults who require personal help, both in their growth with God and also with any issue that faces our young people today. Their phones are always on - constantly setting up support networks for the young adults - whether it be physical, emotional or financial. There home is open anytime and on Tuesday nights till very late.
Nothing is too much for this couple - this comes naturally as they provide this to not only the young adults of Porirua but also anyone they know or come into contact with. This is always done with a willing and giving heart. It is always done with a smile also - I guess this is where's Mae's nickname "Sunshine" comes from.
I believe this nomination is necessary to show and value their constant output to securing the future of "OUR" young adults and "OUR" potential leaders.
