Vote for Jahvis
I would like to nominate my beautiful boy Jahvis. He is 4 years old. Jahvis was born with a rare cancer of the eye called Retinoblastoma. It took 6 weeks before any doctor would listen to me and diagnose him with the cancer. I guess this was due to me being a young parent, they did not take me seriously. When he was finally seen, within a week we were sent to Starship Hospital, his right eye was removed and vigorous chemotherapy, laser therapy and cryotherapy took place for the next 9 months. Although he was only 6weeks old when this all started he was the bravest little man, always happy, very content and gave us so much joy. He was followed up daily, weekly, monthly and now 6 monthly. He is currently cancer free. He has a false eye, that gets remade every 6months. Nothing phases my little man, he knows he has a special eye, and he thinks it is very cool. He teases his younger sister that she doesn’t have a special eye like him.
With the type of cancer he was diagnosed with, it poses a 50 percent chance of secondary cancers developing in his teenage years. We hope that he is lucky. Jahvis is such a brave happy, caring boy and deserves so much that we just can not give right now. He would love to go to the theme parks in Australia, and the Zoo over there, he looooves animals!

What's the prize?
The 250 inspirational kiwis who receive the most votes will earn $1 return airfares for themselves and a companion to travel within New Zealand. They can choose to travel to any of our 26 dometic destinations.
