My gap year coordinator Emma Stokes Emma Stokes is your 2008 wonder woman in my opinion. I bet she would be so embarrassed by this because she is so humble about everything she does. Emma is the coordinator of an amazing gap year program called HEADSPACE, in which school leavers are trained in leadership, team work, ESOL, other cultures and how God can be a part of their lives every day. Before going on this course I was shy, insecure and my depression was controlling my life, with the help of God through Emma's committment to my life, I had the courage to leave home and move up to Auckland, where I suddenly have many friends because of the skills I gained. Emma flies and drives around New Zealand speaking to many church groups and schools about what possibilities there are out there for them once they leave school, including HEADSPACE. With a schedule many would consider impossible, Emma just gets on with the job with passion, total committment and love. As you can imagine, this costs a lot of money, and Emma rarely gets time for herself, or to see her husband, as she is racing around New Zealand constantly. This would help incredibly to give her a bit of money to spend on herself, or to go on a bit of a break, and to let her know what an incredible person she really is! VOTE FOR EMMA!
