I'm nominating Wendy Steeds. Wendy has done so much for so manychildren in Christchurch over the past twenty years.The creator, owner and director of original scripts theatre school inChristchurch, Wendy has encouraged, helped and supportedso many children to be themselvs and to find confidence to be who theyare and be proud of that. She has given hundreds of childrenthe opportunity to perform in front of members of the public, writingand directing hundreds of shows, including childrens shows that havebeen performedduring Kidsfest over the last ten years. Wendy is an inspiration,constantly thinking about other people and putting their needs first.Getting these one dollar flightswould give Wendy a chance to do something for herself, including goingto see her two young grandchildren who mean the world to her.Words can't describe what Wendy means to so many children, teenagersand adults, without her, many people would not be who they are today.
