What are the grabbies?

As New Zealand’s only truly Kiwi airline, we want to show what makes us special by giving away 500 return $1 airfares to kiwis making a difference in our lives.

You can nominate or vote for those inspirational kiwis making a difference in your life and the lives of your friends and family. They may be people in your community, at work, at school, in your church or social group.

What's the prize?

The 250 inspirational kiwis who receive the most votes will earn $1 return airfares for themselves and a companion to travel within New Zealand. They can choose to travel to any of our 26 dometic destinations.

Oliver Rabl

Vote for Oliver

I would like to nominate our son Oliver, who is truly an inspiration to all who know him. Oliver was born with Down’s Syndrome but he has never let this become an obstacle to getting on with his life. He enjoys practically every sport known to man, both as an avid watcher and a keen participant and is as encouraging to his team mates as he is enthusiastic to those teams he supports. He absolutely loves competition but is gracious in defeat. In his regular week he tries so hard at school to learn, achieve and please, plays hard for the Waitakere Special Olympics basketball team while opponents loom high above him and works hard for the suburban newspapers, delivering the papers he has precision folded without complaint or delay, be it rain, hail or shine.

Recently he turned 18, a man according to Oliver, and he was just so proud and delighted that he was able to buy his Mum and Nana (Da) a wine and himself and his Dad a beer. Oliver is a shining example of what it means to be loving, caring, selfless, funny, smart and above all a most wonderful member of our family. We are so lucky to have him in our life and would love for him to win something to show how happy he makes us all.
