Vote for my sister
My younger sister is only 16 years old but her wisdom and life experiences far outweigh those lived years. She was born with cerebral palsy and has to struggle through everyday tasks we take for granted, in constant pain, but she never lets it show or slow her down. She lives life to the fullest and even after complications with surgery to correct the position of her foot she refused to give up. She continues to fight on – through physiotherapy, laughing with friends and attending school, choosing to walk slowly and painfully from school to home because the exercise helps her limbs.
Over the years all those around her have drawn great strength from her spirit and independence. She is a forgiving and loving person, even to those at school who have bullied her and made fun of her. She is a shoulder to lean on, happy to listen and offer advice. She is a valuable asset and active in the cultural and religious community. Life would not be the same without her. Her goal is to be a psychologist in order to help people who have been in her emotional and physical position.
My sister has never gone on a holiday because of her condition. With her foot doing somewhat better and another surgery coming up for her hand, I hope that you will vote for her so that she can make some happy memories before she faces another ordeal.
