Vote for Kimberly's Nana

Vote for Nana
I would like to nominate my Nana, Gwen McLeod. Nana lives in Upper Hutt and is a completely selfless person. She visits my Great Grandmother who is in a rest home with Alzheimer’s on a daily basis. This is very hard on her as often my Great Grandmother doesn't know who she is, and doesn't know that she's been going there to visit her every single day. While emotionally and mentally challenging this is very physically demanding on her as she often helps move my Great Grandmother who is now immobile. This gives her trouble with her back.
She is also hosting Christmas this year for the extended family of around 40 people - she deserves a holiday just for that! I was lucky enough to study in Wellington and visit Nana every now and then. She always went out of her way to ensure that I had a good time and often made me her famous mac ‘n’ cheese just for me.
A lot of her family live around the Upper Hutt area but my sister and Mum live in Hamilton. Five months ago my sister had her first daughter Kayla and I'm sure Nana would love to come up for a visit although with her being on the pension there's no way she could afford it as sometimes it is difficult for her to make ends meet.
