THIS IS A BIT DIFFERENT. i would like to nominate my family and here is the reason why. In January 2008 our 9 year old son was taken to Starshiop ciritically ill with Menz B. Our family , consisting of my husband Ian, and our 2 other children Joel 11 and Mia 7 and my self were flown to Auckland as well (from Nelson).This was the first time any of our children have even flown. We would love to take the children especially Mitch back to Auckland to see Auckland in another light. We spent 12 days at Starship. the first few days waiting to see if Mitch would survive ,and then to see the extent of the complications. We are so grateful he survived and is well on the road to recovery. We would love to take our family back to Auckland to see Starship, Mitch has little recall of these days at all, and we would also love to give him some treats while were we there, like Kelly Tarltons, Zoo, Rainbows End. On a limited income we cant see our way to making this trip in the near future but feel it would be part of the healing process for us all. $1.00 flights could make this a possibility for us.
