Vote for Damon

I’d love to take this opportunity to nominate and commend my darling partner, Damon, who deserves a holiday (and he can take me too!).

I know that there are millions of dads out there who are amazing but I honestly think that our ‘everyday heroes’ can be overlooked! Anyone can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a ‘dad’, and Damon is such a wonderful Dad and partner. We have two babies (aged one and two) and one on the way – so we’re looking at welcoming in the 2009 New Year with 3 babies under 2.5years!!! Our daughter has been vomiting constantly now for four months with no indication as to the cause, and we can be up anything between half-hourly, to up for three or four hours at a time with her, mopping vomit and comforting her. Despite having to get up for work, my honey helps during these hard nights, and then comes home the following day to take Mr 2 to feed the ducks or to learn to ride his bike. It is so awesome hearing Kaden say ‘Dad’ now – ‘where is dad’ and ‘its dad!’!! He treats me like a princess even after nearly 7 years together!! These are just some examples of what makes him such a wonderful ‘everyday hero’ and I wish I could thank him more!! If Air New Zealand gave him the seats, I know it would give us the chance to have a break and have some much-needed special ‘together’ and alone time, to make us stronger for the coming months and to give him the pampering break he deserves! I LOVE YOU HONEY!!!
