What are the grabbies?

As New Zealand’s only truly Kiwi airline, we want to show what makes us special by giving away 500 return $1 airfares to kiwis making a difference in our lives.

You can nominate or vote for those inspirational kiwis making a difference in your life and the lives of your friends and family. They may be people in your community, at work, at school, in your church or social group.

What's the prize?

The 250 inspirational kiwis who receive the most votes will earn $1 return airfares for themselves and a companion to travel within New Zealand. They can choose to travel to any of our 26 dometic destinations.

Debbie Grant

Vote for Debbie

Have you ever realized just how lucky you are to have someone in your life who works tirelessly for others, their selfless actions meaning they never put themselves first, instead spreading joy and light to anyone and everyone they come into contact with? The someone in my life is my amazing mum of 3 kids, midwife, volunteer, student, and a pillar of strength to friends and family.

After 20 years of working in maternity, kids well off her hands, she decided that babies were here passion. So after 3 years of hard slog as an adult student at University, she fulfilled one of her life long dreams. The thought of a holiday to celebrate briefly crossed her mind but was quickly surpassed by the passion to help others. After hopping on a plane to Vanuatu, staying in not much more than a crowded bunkroom, mum worked tirelessly as a volunteer midwife in a 3rd world hospital treasuring every moment, so grateful to be able to be of any assistance. On her return she commented not on the dreadful work conditions, or the lack of facilities, but on the amazing people she was so humbled by. This is just a chapter out of mums life - I could go on! She has imparted so much into my life that makes me who I am today. The reason I want mum to have a kiwi holiday away is because I know she would never do it for herself and she absolutely deserves it!
