Vote for Eric and Mikki
I would like to nominate my parents, Eric and Mikki Wellington. They are, like many of their generation, hard workers who have known very hard times.I have long been in awe of how much they can achieve when others need them. They have been very active volunteers all of their lives, my mother as aponyclub tutor, hospice volunteer, victim support volunteer and Maraevolunteer to name a few of the many time commitments she has made in hercommunity. My father has been a behind the scenes worker in many communityprojects, and supported Mum with her volunteer work, sitting outside in thecar for hours as Mum consoles victims, just to be there if needed. They areboth sought after by extended family for advice and support. They are alwaysavailable in times of need, just turning up and putting the dinner on, doingchores at all of our houses without a fuss. My sisters, brothers and I allappreciate them very much. With age they are needing to slow down. They haveearned the right to sit back and relax but they are both happiest helpingothers so they are on the roster to drive people unable to drive themselves,to appointments in the city. As their daughter, I have been very proud manytimes when people have told me how grateful they are to my parents forsomething or other and I feel sure they would be delighted to win agrab-a-seat trip.

I vote for this couple.
Goodluck
I want to thank my sister for nominating Mum and Dad for this, she's right, they do deserve it. All our lives their house has been open home for all of our friends at any time. All this helping people has been going on for many many years, they're 81 and 79 and still going strong when they could easily be sitting back and resting. Dad has a serious heart condition but still plants and looks after my vege garden while I'm at work. This is typical of his caring.
