Vote for Reuben's mum
She spends her days caring for and supporting families who have had a stillborn baby. Sometimes she is away all night with them while they give birth. She makes little clothes for the babies and beautiful boxes for the smaller babies to be buried in.
She also looks after women who have depression after having baby and runs a course for them about how to get well and do better. She does all this stuff all day most days for nothing in return. She is so caring and her commitment to her work and the families, even though unpaid, is 110%. She really puts her heart into it.
Back at home she has 4 kids she takes care of, she is always there for us. One of my brothers has many problems and just last week had his 21st operation. He is only 11. Mum is there for him no matter what, is always at different hospitals with him and she tries to stay bright and happy for him even when the news is bad.
Mum has no time for herself she gives of herself to others and to her family 24/7. She has been having her own health problems lately and I know she is really tired because of it, but she just still keeps going and is there right offering her hand in help.She seriously needs a nice break, she is overdue for some time to recharge. Mum loves the Bay of Islands. I think she would love a trip there.Kind regards,Reuben Hoskins.
