I nominate my Dad, Peter Jespersen.I wasn’t exactly the most well behaved kid, always getting in trouble at school and out of school. I used to hate my Dad because he never let me hang out with my friends, but now I see why. It was because he knew that they would get me into trouble which was exactly what they did. I got suspended from school at the age of 14 for getting caught at school with marijuana. He was strangely calm about it, which was not like him. He just said that I was going to go back to school and buck up my ideas and “Sort your bloody life out girl”. While I was suspended he booked me into flying lessons, he said that "You can get a high in other ways without using drugs." It definitely made me buck my ideas up. I realised life isn’t just about trying to be cool, it’s more about having fun and experiencing the wonderful things life has to offer, my Dad showed me just that. I’m 20 now and I’m a website developer, bought my first home at 18, seen all of nz and done some awesome stuff like jump off the skytower, bungy jumps, rafting and more. I thank my father and appreciate everything he has done for me. He has done some extraordinary things in his lifetime, he lived in the outback of oz, the jungle of Papa New Guinea, a pilot and now he's a surfer. He taught me that anything is possible if you really want it! I believe he truly is the most inspirational person in my life.
